an island country in the Caribbean. It consists of the island of Cuba, the Isla de la Juventud, and several archipelagos.
Havana is the largest city in Cuba and the country's capital. Santiago de Cuba is the second largest city.[8] Cuba is home to over 11 million people and is the most populous insular nation in the Caribbean. Its people, culture, and customs draw from diverse sources, including the aboriginal Taíno and Ciboney peoples; the period of Spanish colonialism; the introduction of African slaves; and its proximity to the United States.
The name "Cuba" comes from the Taíno language and though the exact meaning is unclear, it may be translated either as "where fertile land is abundant" (cubao),[9] or as "great place" (coabana).[10] Additionally, there is the claim that native inhabitants called the island "Cubagua" in the Columbus era starting in 1542
Idea - Cuba is about revolution, what if havana club was considered a revolution.

Portfolio Evalutaion.
So it is the end of Second Year. My aim this year was to create work for my portfolio, as you can't be a Graphic Designer without some work to put in there! I think I have done this, I was quite easily able to fill up my portfolio pages with work that I was happy with.
The start of the portfolio summarises what I want to Foucs on, Print based promotional design. I have included other pieces of work that I have done is well, such as stop Motion. I thought I might as well put it in as it was quite a strong piece of mine, i thought. I just hope it does not confuse what I am all about.
The start of my Portfolio is definitely the strongest, so In my third year I hope to fill the rest of my portfolio with pieces just as strong and then my entire portfolio will be focussed.
There are some weaknesses within my work, but there is something I will always be able to improve on. Since I have noted my focus of creative advertising for print, I now pick up the advertising world alot me, but I do need to get more involved with it.
For my dissertation I have decided to write about the polemics surrounding the colors of Benetton Advertisements. It will allow to discuss a campaign that has had a huge impact on the world, and the brand. It will also allow to discuss some of the negative connotations associated with advertising.
