London Photos..

London :)

Me and my boyfriend went to London for New Year, really was a good trip :) And was very patient with me, stopping every few minutes to take photos :/
These are the best shots, my focus of most of the photographs was signs as this is what i am doing for my next project.

Leeds :)

Another sight I found around town today :) Was by Subway at the bottom of town near the station (ish) The outside of the building was mirrored and curved so it reflected the same image all the way around.

You are a Rock.

Just came across this in Leeds today. Thought the shadowing over this paving stone look pretty. It was interesting how it was the only pavement in the area with a statement/quote on it.

Machine.

Quite a straight forward brief.

"Time Machine - Development of Communication."
For some reason, the colours have changed on this upload. The outline should be red (like a phone box) and the background a pale orange.

Speaking From Experience

My part of this project is almost finished now! :) Just need to work on the packaging a bit.. well alot ..
Am really happy with the outcome of my postcards, especially the halls category, because those postcards are quite interactive i think with how they have been designed.

These are the best ones i think (above)

I am really impressed that we managed to find some magnetic material that you can print onto too! Its not verrrry magnetic so have had to put it in a little package but it still has the same effect :) A big weight of my shoulders now i have got the majority of this done.
Jai's should be done soon, and then the crit tomorrow.
We are going to aim to have it completed by Thursday so that we can spend the evening doing ppd stuff and then not have to stress over the weekend - we do have alot planned already!!

Lets just hope they do not rip it in the crit....

Chemical Plant Photography

Jai needed to take some photos for her elective. She was taking some photos of one of her friends and my flat mate Kirsty. They turned out really well. I went along for the fun of it!

Final Book Design

This my book for a book of "100" Keys.
I think that the two sets work better now, with the bunch of keys being bundled together to represent realism and the separate fobs to represent fantasy.

Mail Shot

This is my final piece for the one week brief. I had the profession librarian. The concept behind this piece was originally for it to be in the style of a book. I took images of glasses on a chain close up relating to the idea of "page turners." A chain of events in a story, also because i see a stereotypical librarian to be wearing glasses on a chain. I chose to do close ups of the glasses as it is not obvious what it is at first, just like a story, it becomes clearer towards the end. I put dates onto the images to highlight the idea of a connected series of events.
On the front of the envelope i had a bar code with a red line. This is because when i think of a library one piece of imagery that comes to mind is when they scan the books. And I thought if this would be quite effective on an envelope. It may make the viewer think they are getting a product free because it has been given a bar code.

More Keys Work..

During our final Crit, Jo picked on an idea that i had already thought about doing, but didnt think this could count as a book. But apparently anything that flows or tells a story is a "book" - could really find a way of anything being a book i think? Thats art for you.

Next, to look at categorizing keys. I have split my answers of the question "if you had a key to anywhere where would it be to?" into two groups..Fantasy and Realistic.

This image shows categorizing keys.. i have split the keys into different types and seperated them with key rings.

Keys!

Looking at different ways of presenting the keys. I thought that having an imprint would be quite suitable. As the idea of the key bieng something you impose on a lock.
